The Secret of Us has so many things going for it that make me very enthusiastic!
First, let's discuss LingOrm. They are both stunning. Their images are overflowing and compliment each other well. Lingling Kwong is a former beauty queen with flawless angles. A athletic, cool beauty that can carry off any style. Beautiful and handsome are both appropriate adjectives for her! Orm Kornnaphat has a really seductive vibe. Compared to other ladies her age (she's 22 at the time of writing), I believe she has a much more mature appearance owing to her actions, clothing, and model proportions.
Must Read : What is the story behind Lingling Sirilak Kwong's kissing moment?
Aside from their beauty, they have incredible chemistry. The little snippets and stills that have been published so far are swoon-worthy. Aside from the turmoil, their interactions with one other are adorable! They appear to get along well. Orm is the more outgoing one, often taunting Lingling and chattering away. Lingling is amused by Orm's antics, just listening and smiling/laughing at her. Their interactions seem natural to me as well. It's not forced or cringeworthy. They simply appear like two ladies who like working together.
Let's chat about LingOrm's acting. I have great expectations for their performances since they are both seasoned actresses. I'm particularly pleased by Orm's acting abilities. I've watched footage of her from earlier series, and her performance is strong and flexible. Lingling's acting has improved significantly since she began. She had migrated from Hong Kong to Thailand at the age of 17, despite her lack of Thai language skills. Even after becoming an actor at the age of 24 or 25, she struggled with Thai, which originally restricted her acting prospects. Despite this difficulty, she tries all she can to perform at her peak. (For example, she must translate her scripts into Chinese and English to improve her understanding.) Her hard effort paid off, as she has progressed from portraying a silent character to being able to perform in parts that need quick and clever language. She's also superb at portraying emotion with her eyes and can weep beautifully.
I'm incredibly excited to see how LingOrm will interact together. Lingling has said many times that Orm's excellent acting skills allow her to fully immerse herself in her part. Furthermore, out of all of her recent acting jobs (2 currently airing dramas + TSOU at the end of June + 1 more drama she's currently filming), she's stated that she enjoys her role of Dr. Fahlada the most because Orm is her partner, the director (same director as Yes or No, by the way!), and the rest of the team. They seem to be able to equal one other's intensity, and I'm excited to see the results of their efforts.
Regarding the narrative, I thought the original book was extremely engaging and would adapt well to television. (You may buy an official English translation via the Meb app.) I don't believe it's really revolutionary, but it may be because it was released ten years ago. The narrative is basic, with lots of dramatic and heartwarming moments. There are a lot of kissing and sex moments, so I'm interested how much the show will include haha. There are only 8 episodes in the series, so they'll definitely load a lot into each one. I hope for the best!
The characters are ideal for LingOrm. Fans of the original work, as well as the author, have commented that they seem to have strolled straight out of the book. LingOrm have even said multiple times that their personalities are quite similar to Fahlada and Earn's. It's incredibly amazing that Channel 3 discovered these two and matched them.
The overall production quality of the show seems to be extremely excellent. Channel 3's size allows them to have a larger budget. The scenes seem well-shot. The rest of the cast is likewise really gorgeous. I adore the style, particularly Dr. Fahlada's clothing.
My only concern is that Channel 3 is not advertising the series as effectively as it might be. They're treading gingerly since TSOU is their first GL. I'm hoping that the program will become so successful that they'll need to put more effort into marketing. I am certain that this program is Ch3's passport to worldwide prominence. They won't get there with just pure dramas, for sure.
LingOrm has the potential to become a huge worldwide success. They're attractive, amusing, and can communicate in numerous languages. Lingling speaks Thai, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Orm speaks Thai and English. Talk about a power pair. It would be a waste if Channel 3 did not devote more resources to overseas marketing.
Thank you for reading through my lengthy brain dump. The Secret of Us premieres on June 24th. Stay tuned!
- LingOrm is a stunning duo with excellent chemistry. They are also skilled actors with years of experience.
- The original book is pretty amusing, and it seems to transition well to television. Plenty of drama. Plenty of sweetness. There are plenty of hot moments. Purchase the English edition of the book on Meb!
- Channel 3 should increase their game when it comes to marketing TSOU. LingOrm has the potential to be very popular both locally and internationally.
