Why Aren't Mexican Cartels Afraid Of The U.S. Military?

I am pretty sure you?re premise is incorrect. The cartels are heavily-armed for sure. They have a ton of small arms: AK-47s, AR-15 style rifles modified to function like M-16s, .50 caliber machine guns, grenade launchers and even rocket launchers.
