Netflix struggled a lot for its second live event on Sunday night. Love is Blind: The Live Reunion did not air at the show's scheduled 8 p.m. time, causing widespread consternation among the show's fans on social media. Netflix confirmed the issue on Twitter shortly after, promising to kick off the presentation in 15 minutes.
That didn't happen either. Over an hour later, subscribers were still getting error screens when trying to view the event. Netflix went on to say that it was "worth the wait". As the delay dragged on, presenters Vanessa and Nick Lachey posted on Instagram, thanking fans (and live studio audiences) for their patience.
Finally, around 9:30 p.m. M.ET, Netflix shared a public apology and said the special would be filmed and made available on the service "as soon as possible." But it would no longer be live due to a technical mishap that caused all of this. Fans were able to enjoy the Season 4 reunion shortly after, although Netflix has yet to provide an explanation of what happened.
For unknown reasons, the Love is Blind reunion proved much tougher for Netflix than a Chris Rock stand-up comedy special that aired without a hitch in early March. With the delay of today until 21:00. With ET, Netflix risked losing many viewers to HBO's blockbuster Succession. Unsurprisingly, the company faced an avalanche of complaints and mockery on social media over the unexpected postponement. Even Blockbuster, whatever incarnation of "Blockbuster" this Twitter account is, couldn't help but give it a try.
The embarrassing delay of just two events is a setback for Netflix, which said it will regularly feature live programming, including comedy specials and awards like the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards, to lure subscribers and push back streaming rivals. The company hasn't announced what's next for its live event schedule, but there will be a lot of pressure on Netflix to show up and make tonight's debacle an anomaly.

Season 4 of Netflix's Love Is Blind just dropped its final episode on April 14, and let's just say it's, uh, juicy. While sets of episodes were released every Friday, this week was when the couples said "yes" or "definitely not". But there is more to come as there is a live first encounter which will air on Sunday, April 16 at 8 p.m. THIS IS T. You will learn more about how the couples are doing and where they are now.
In case you need a reminder, just know that the 30 Seattle-based singles were past the commitment and bonding phase and down the aisle...there was a lot of mixing and matching with couples, also in Mexico and as a couple moved in together. SPOILER ALERT! Three married at the end of the finale, a man (cough, Paul, cough) said "NO" at the altar, and a couple broke up before they even walked down the aisle.
It’s available to stream on Netflix.

Believe it or not, Netflix has been around since the 90s, but until the 2010s no one seemed to know what it was. It is now home to thousands of shows and movies, always on rotation and off. If you don't have it, I'm definitely not urging you to buy a one-month subscription just for the Love Is Blind season 4 live reunion, but I won't. You understand me? Subscribers start at $6.99 per month for what I think it's worth.
