I really enjoy this question. We should all learn to focus on the next step, trusting in the process, rather than losing patience and only wanting to achieve our goals. It's always a voyage, and toward the conclusion, we frequently find that the journey was the most enjoyable part.

So, in response to your question, what can you do now to begin working towards your goals?

Naturally, what you do will depend on what you're working toward, but there are some things you can always do, regardless of what objective you're currently pursuing. Here are a few of them.

  • Return to the location where you wrote down your goal and ensure that it still sounds the way you want it to when read aloud. Goals that are written down are easier to achieve, especially if you take the time to fully outline what your life will be like if the goal is met.
  • Return to the card you created that acts as an affirmation for your aim. It should explain your achievement clearly and succinctly, as if it has already been accomplished. Is it displayed somewhere you can see it every day? Did you read it aloud today?
  • Go to your journal, where you wrote down your plan. Do the things you listed as tasks still make sense? Have you considered anything fresh you could do to come closer to your goal? Make a list of any new items you would want to try.
  • Check your plan for fresh resources. Have you found anything or anyone that can aid you? Every day you spend some time thinking about your objective, the Universe slowly turns beneath you. There is no telling what it will bring you. What has it brought you recently? Include it in your plan.
  • Spend a few minutes feeling grateful for your goal, the resources you need to achieve it, the energy to act, and a mind that can consider the next step. What comes to mind as something you should do next?
  • Take the following step. Perhaps it is from the plan in your journal. Perhaps it stemmed from the time you spent thinking about your goal and all the things you have to be grateful for. It doesn't matter where the concept originated. Act on it. Physical activity will provide the great majority of your forward motion.
  • That being said, remember that spending time relaxing and envisioning yourself at the finish, when your goal has been met, is part of the effort. Sometimes we are most effective when all of the action takes place on the inside and no one knows we are working toward a goal.

There is always something you can do to help achieve your current goals. If you take one small step toward your objective every day, you'll get there far sooner than you expected. Good luck to you.
