Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson and other celebrities have embarked on their own version of weight loss journeys.
Celebrities are known for their dramatic weight loss. Kardashian once lost 16 pounds in three weeks while Simpson lost 100 pounds three times.
Fox News Digital spoke to Dr. Michael Feiz, a weight loss surgeon, who explained the "healthy and lasting" type of weight loss.
“Healthy and sustainable weight loss is associated with behavioral and lifestyle changes. To date, there is no proven silver bullet to maintain weight loss, despite many claims,” he explained.
While some celebrities make lifestyle changes to achieve "healthy" weight loss, Dr. Feiz said it's important to know that "extreme and rapid" weight loss, on the other hand, is "almost always unbearable".
"It's because it was the behaviors, such as diets like keto or the South Beach diet, or taking medication that caused their weight loss, like Semaglutide, aka Ozempic, Rybelsus, Wegovy, or the most recent." , stop weight loss drug Tirzepatide, also known as Mounjaro, your weight loss will also stop. And once the weight loss stops, they will actually gain weight back, usually faster and more abundantly than their original weight loss."

“I call it determined patience. I believe in setting small goals because in my life and how I've done it, there are easy ways to throw in the towel and feel like it's impossible,” Simpson explained. “The small goals for me are the ones that helped me achieve the main goal.
One of Simpson's rules is to throw the scales.
“We have a goal, don't we? But I say throw the scale away," he explained. "I would use it as a tape measure because the scale can literally ruin our whole day... I asked Eric [her husband] to take it to the landfill."
After baby number three, Simpson turned to trainer Harley Pasternak to help get her back on track.
"It must have been more than just gaining baby weight, but how can I keep doing what I'm doing now forever?" she told E! News. "That's why we're not big fans of crash diets or radical forms of exercise."
