Michelle Keegan has opened out about her relationship with her best friend, husband Mark Wright.
The former Coronation Street actress, who is currently featured in the Netflix series Fool Me Once, has been married to the former TOWIE star since 2015.
Michelle was asked on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast what makes the two compatible, and she responded that it's simply being best friends and finding time for one other when they both have to travel for work.
I think just being friends and having that connection, I believe we are very lucky in that if I go up north, he comes with me if he can, and the same is true when I go down south, she added. We reside in the south, but when we travel, we do it together, which I feel works well for us.
Mark recently admitted on his morning broadcast that he fell into tears after witnessing his wife's performance in Fool Me Once, adding, "I turned to my left to tell my wife how much I loved it and how proud I was."
I broke down. I felt a lump in my throat and shed a few tears, but I assume it was merely the sight of my wife on the TV.
[She's] absolutely perfect [in] what she does; she worked so hard to get to where she is today. It appears like individuals are loving it. So, as I tell her how thrilled I am, I realize my wife has returned to the room.
Mark added: I suppose it is due to her skill; she is so excellent at what she does that it does not appear weird. At the time, I absolutely forgot that the person on the screen representing Maya was not my wife, who was sitting right next to me.
Based on the 2016 Harlan Coben novel, Fool Me Once follows Michelle's character Maya, who confronts her apparently dead husband (Richard Armitage) on a home camera.
