Kim Chui, whose full name is Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu, was born in Cebu City, Philippines, on April 19, 1990. She is a model, YouTuber, singer, dancer, actress, and television personality from the Philippines.

Kim finished 42 days on the TV show before being crowned Teen Big Winner. This came about upon the receipt of 626,562 votes (41.4%). The only contestant to complete the season without receiving an eviction nomination was Chiu.

2. Chiu is also a performer

Her debut album, Gwa Ai Di, was officially released in September 2007. The record is gold certified, per PARI.

The title of the CD literally means "I Love You." "I've Fallen for You" and "Crazy in Love" are the project's two most well-known tracks. Gerald Anderson, a former Big Brother housemate, is featured in the latter.

Her next album wasn't released until 2015, owing to the record's success. The name of the record was "Chinita Princess." But in that period, she did release a couple singles and music videos.

3. Kimberley Chiu is adonoree

She uses her influence and platform to support and advocate for various causes. The project called "Win Against Asthma" is among these causes. Chiu, who experienced childhood asthma, worked with GSK to inform and support kids with the illness.

Kim Chiu took and passed the UPCAT in 2015. The University of the Philippines College Admission Test is known as the UPCAT. To apply to the university, you must pass the test. It is provided to all recent high school graduates, domestic or foreign, who wish to enroll in college.

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) was where she subsequently registered. She registered for the course on business.

5. A prominent tax payer in the Philippines

The Pork Barrel Tax Scandal was first reported by Nancy Carvajal of the Philippine Daily Inquirer on July 12, 2013. The matter was to the misappropriation of taxes and public monies by members of the Philippine Congress.

Kim was among those involved in the public outcry that followed the disclosure of this affair. On August 28, 2013, she would address the topic and voice her disapproval of the circumstances at a press conference.

She went on to say: "The money isn't a joke […] we pay so much tax and we don't know where it's going." As per the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Chiu holds the 131st place among all taxpayers in the nation. Her income taxes in 2013 came to just over ₱9.3 million.

On April 19, 1990, William and Louella Chiu welcomed Kim into the world as the fourth of their five children. Her mother was a Filipino Sangley (of Chinese origin), and her father, William, was a Chinese merchant.

2013 saw her and her father make amends after a protracted period of distance. In the same year, her mother went into a coma and passed away on June 23, 2013, following her hospital admission. At her mother's funeral, Chiu refuted rumors that the two were at odds.

7. A bullet struck her

2020 March 4 was Kim Chiu's shooting date. While she was headed to Quezon City to record her show "Love Thy Woman," this incident happened on Katipunan Avenue.

On a motorcycle, two gunmen opened fire on the van she was riding in. The gunman has not yet been identified by anyone. Authorities believe that an instance of mistaken identity may have caused the event.

Chiu confirmed the false identity claims. She disclosed that one of her bosses received a call from someone claiming to be the intended target, who apologized.

8. Kim Chiu made a breakthrough

Kim starred in the 2009 TV series "Tayong Dalawa" in her first well recognized acting role. Her portrayal of Audrey in the series earned her numerous acting awards.

She debuted as a villain in the movie "I Love You, Goodbye" that same year. Due to its popularity, Star Cinema submitted the movie to the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Later in 2010, she starred in the films Till My Heartaches End, Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, and Paano Na Kaya. A few of the early motion pictures in her thriving acting career.

9. Kim Chiu has received recognition

In 2007, Chiu won her first accolade for her performance in the movie Sana Maulit Muli. She eventually won both of the trophies for which she was nominated. That is, Best New Female TV at the 21st PMPC Star Awards and Most Promising Female Star at the 38th Guillermo Mendoza Box Office Awards.

Among the housemates, she was the only one never called for eviction. Chiu joined Star Magic after winning. She and her on-screen friend Gerald Anderson started showing up regularly on ASAP XV and starred in other ABS-CBN shows including Love Spell, comedy sitcom Aalog-Alog and in the film First Day High.
