Over the previous several years, Hayden Panettiere has experienced a lot, including her brother Jansen's death in 2023. The Nashville star is now speaking out about how his passing affected her health.

What's Hayden Panettiere Doing Now

The 35-year-old said to People, "He was my only sibling, and it was my job to protect him." "I felt like I lost half of my soul when I lost him... I will always be unable to go beyond it. I will never be able to get over his death, no matter how many years pass.

But Hayden also said that after Jansen's passing, her health deteriorated. This is what transpired and her current state of health.

What became of Jansen, the brother of Hayden Panettiere?

During President's Day weekend in 2023, Jansen was discovered dead in New York. His age, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, was barely 28.

Jansen's family sent a statement to ABC stating that the actor passed away due to issues with his aortic valve in addition to an enlarged heart. According to the statement, "his warmth, charm, empathy for others, and creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered."

Following the loss of her brother, Hayden put on weight.

Following Jansen's passing, Hayden told People that she swiftly put on 40 pounds.

She said, "I just ballooned out." "What I ate or did didn't matter. I am aware that having a lot of stress and cortisol in your body might cause that. I now believe that my body was defending itself by shutting off the outside world.

It made her agoraphobic as well.

Hayden said that she was shocked to see the "horrific" paparazzi pictures of herself leaving Jansen's burial, "which happened in a very private place."

Hayden, who has previously battled agoraphobia, said she "didn't recognize herself" and started to cope with it. (If you're not acquainted, agoraphobia is an anxiety condition characterized by a severe dread of crowds and environments from which escape may be difficult.)
