Zolciak cites April 30 as the date of separation, according to documents obtained by TMZ on Monday. The 'Don't Be Late' star explained that the marriage had "broken irretrievably with no hope of reconciliation." She is asking for primary custody of the children and joint custody. She asked to have her maiden name legally reinstated.
A representative for Zolciak had no comment when contacted by Yahoo.
The 37-year-old NFL grad and Zolciak, 44, are parents to boys Kroy Jagger, 11, Kash, 10, and 9-year-old twins Kane and Kaia. Biermann legally adopted his two daughters from previous relationships: Brielle, 26, and Ariana Biermann, 21.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Zolciak and Biermann owe the IRS $1.1 million in unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties for 2013, 2017, and 2018. They also owe the state of Georgia $15 million. $000 in unpaid taxes for 2018. Their home in the Atlanta area went foreclosure in February.
Zolciak and Biermann met at a charity event in 2010 when Bravo's cameras were rolling. They married the following year and starred in their own spin-off, Don't Be Tardy, which ended in 2020.
