The Huskies men's school ball group brought home its 6th public title in program history with a 75-60 triumph over Purdue on Monday. Lead trainer Dan Hurley brought everything together after the success by saying, "for the last 25, 30 years, UConn's been running school ball."
It's difficult to contend with him.
On one side is the UConn ladies' group, which has for some time been the highest quality level of the game.
Geno Auriemma's program has brought home a shocking 11 public titles since the 1994-95 mission. In the past ladies' school ball felt like UConn against the field, and the Huskies so frequently satisfied everyone's expectations.
Then, at that point, there is the men's group, which turned into the principal men's program to bring home consecutive championships since Florida did as such in 2006 and 2007. It has come out on top for six titles since the 1998-99 mission with lead trainer Jim Calhoun bringing back home three, Kevin Ollie bringing back home one and Hurley currently winning two.
