Previous Nairobi Lead representative Mike Sonko has answered reports that he was with previous Resident television anchor Jacque Maribe the night the late Monica Kimani was killed in her home in Kilimani, Nairobi on September 19, 2018.
The disclosure was made in court on May 11, when Maribe, who is accused in association of the homicide, took to the stand to portray the occasions of that evening, saying that she didn't have anything to do with Ms Kimani's demise.
In her declaration, she reviewed that she went home with companions and joined Sonko that evening.
"I left my working environment at Regal Media Administrations and went to a club in Westlands with Lead representative Sonko's escort. I didn't meet with Jowie who at the time was my life partner as he just went along with us later at the club and sat on an alternate table," said Maribe.
Presently answering Maribe's declaration, Sonko affirmed spending time with Maribe among different colleagues that evening.
The previous lead representative said that whenever expected to show up in court over the matter, he had a decent memory of the evening out on the town, including CCTV film of them at the expressed club in Westlands.
"It's actual l was with Jacque Maribe at Resident television when I was being evaluated in the JKL show on September 19, 2018, from around 9:45 pm," he said.
